A flower or group of flowers. Example: In September the Lapacho trees and the streets below them are covered in blossoms.
Intransitive Verb
- To come into flower; bloom. Example: The Lapachos blossomed early this year.
- To develop; flourish. Example: Although she was only 3 pounds when she was born, she blossomed into a healthy little girl.
What better word for September than “blossom”? In Asuncion in September, you can’t walk a block without stepping on Lapacho or Bougainvillea blossoms, or seeing them cascading over walls and doorways.
