Word of the Month: Bluster

Bluster

  1. V. to blow in stormy, noisy gusts. Example: The blustering, frigid wind blew around the house with a howling sound.
  2. N. Loudly boastful or threatening speech. Example: The crowd soon grew tired of his bluster and dispersed to their houses.

In recent days here in Asuncion, there has been a lot of wind, which made me think of this word. Hopefully these blustering winds will bring some much-needed rain!

Quote with Bluster:

Brave men do not boast nor bluster. Deeds, not words, speak for such. - Antoine Rivarol
